Swati Goswami (Founder Director)
Swati is a passionate animal lover and a reluctant national level swimmer. She loves to read and lures others to read (admittedly, at times forcibly). Swati is from Lucknow and a proud Ex Martinian and does not miss a single opportunity to talk about Lucknow or La Martiniere (Like right now)
She studied Literature for graduation and admits to have taken Economics under pressure. She is not a person of numbers and finds them insufferable. Fortunately her husband retaliates by finding reading equally insufferable as he loves numbers.
She started Jabberwocky to quench her thirst of performing poetry and literature as she was too busy swimming in school years. She trained with Trinity College, London while working for the Julia Gabriel Centre and went on to establish Jabberwocky Studio in 2008 after quitting her job.
Her poetry and articles have been published in various newspapers, books and online platforms nationally and internationally.
Outside of Jabberwocky, she spends much of her time complaining there is not enough time, overindulging her son and daughter and the cat, organizing trips with friends. She is a self proclaimed live by the moment person and adores each session with her students. She feels is best behaved in her classes. You can write to her at swati@jabberwocky.in.
Swati’s motto in life is from the book Charlie and the Chocolate factory “A little nonsense now and then , Is relished by the Wisest men”

‘Two road diverged in the wood,
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference’ - Robert Frost
A marketing student, I had the good fortune of working with eminent companies such as India Today and Dorling Kindersley before I stumbled upon the world of Speech and Drama. Then, just as a fish takes to water, I took to teaching.
An enriching journey of over 8 years began under the guidance of expert instructors who helped mould me into the educator that I am today. Since then, I have had the privilege of associating with the prestigious brand ‘Julia Gabriel’ and renowned schools in the city like ‘Lotus Valley International School, Gurgaon’.
A child views things with wonder and amazement, it is this very spark that becomes an imputes for growth. As facilitators we work to hone the unique skills that each child possess. Classroom interactions serve as base for development across various spectrums from understanding expressions, studying body language, enhancing vocal range amongst many others.
Benjamin Franklin said, ‘Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn’. I firmly believe that as educators we must continuously reinvent the wheel, to device new and innovative methodologies to involve, inspire and ignite passion and creativity in the children, for they are the future torchbearers.
