Speech and Drama is an empowering way for children to learn effective and clear communication that will serve them throughout their life. Through an exploration of poetry, reading aloud, drama games, performance and improvisation, children spark their imagination, think creatively and learn to perform with charisma.

Jabberwocky Speech and Drama program involves a range of speaking and performing exercises that focus on developing clear speech and confident communication.

Our program is structured around our three core values: confidence, communication and creativity, which are taught by developing three core skills: speech, drama and text.

In our program, children work on poetry, oral reading, monologues, scripts, short scenes, radio plays, readers’ theatre and more. We encourage children to act and participate in many different activities specially designed to encourage creativity and confidence. All our classes enable students to interact with other children in a fun environment. Our classes ensure that every child gets the individual attention they deserve.

Above all, speech and drama classes provide children the space to connect to their own voice, learn to use it effectively, and to express themselves with clarity and confidence. We focus on developing skills such as speaking clearly, making eye contact and reading aloud are embedded into Speech and Drama lessons
